Ryan and I are currently in HOT and HUMID Texas, and I'm both homesick and tired. I won't be online much over the next week, and I will miss interacting with all of you through your lovely comments and emails. Whenever I'm feeling a bit down, I try to focus on any beautiful or blossoming area of my life. And so in this case of the Texas blues, I turn my eyes to the wonderful person I married, who has been beside me through what has been one of our most challenging years. So today, in lieu of scones or cheesecakes, I want to share some photographs from one of the best days of my life.

Our sweet wedding party...siblings and my neice
We like this pose and replicate it quite often
And because I love to bake...the most delicious wedding cake I've ever tasted
My two oldest friends, both of whom were married this summer!
Ah, yes. I already feel lighter. Please forgive me over the next few days if I am slow at returning emails or commenting on posts. Driving across the country and staying at motels with questionable cleanliness and Wi-fi service has been a challange. I hope that these pictures brought a smile to your face (because who doesn't love a wedding?) and I look forward to catching up with everyone soon!
Thanks for sharing, Monet! I hope the rest of your trip goes well for you, aside from the bump in the road ;) You two are a beautiful couple, and these are some of the most gorgeous wedding photos I've seen (and trust me - I've seen a lot!) Though I always say being a good photographer is only half of it - as cute as you two are together, you were probably the photographer's dream!
You look awesome in these photos, especially in the first one. It's such a great wedding photo that any wedding magazine might want to have. Enjoy your trip!
Great Pics Monet....finding the right person to spend your life with means so much! It makes bad days much more tolerable, and good days extraordinary! Did I tell you I'm a Texan? Dennis
You're heading to my old stomping grounds! We lived in the Dallas area for 6 years before moving to Charlotte. It is definitely hot there and some parts are not so pretty, but there are good parts to Texas.
What part are you headed to? If you're around a Central Market and have a minute, drop in and check it out. If you love food as much as I do, your spirits will instantly be lifted. It's the king of specialty grocery stores.
Give it a wave from me and I'll see ya when you get back!
Have a safe and fun trip and hang in there. I'm so happy you have Ryan for support - we all need that special person in our life to help us through our ups and downs. Too bad you won't be updating, though! I love your recipes! But I'll be excited when they are back.
And beautiful pictures by the way. I love how the moment is captured there - you feel the emotion of your moment. It's so beautiful. :)
Gorgeous pictures! I also love getting a little insight into people's lives aside from their blog. Thanks for sharing :) Hope the weather cools down on your trip and the hotels are cleaner than you expect :) I hate hotels. We always try to find the least expensive, cleanest pace. It's a struggle.
Oh Monet... Everything will be fine. Sounds like you have a lot going on right now. But these pictures are gorgeous and you and Ryan look so happy together! Talk to you when you return!
We're on the road going similar directions at the same time. I'm in Alabama with my daughter on a little roadtrip. The difference is, we'll be heading back up north later this week. I know you're making the right decision with this move and I'm wishing you both the very best!
firstly, i know what u mean about hot and humid. the humidity makes you SO lethargic and drained which makes feeling homesick all the more worse. hopefully that will go away soon.. i mean the weather wont of course but maybe the homesick feelings will :(
Oh my goodness, your wedding was beautiful. I love the pictures, they are so unique. I find that wedding photos are all so generic, I like seeing different ones. Road tripping across america is tough work, my dad is a professional landscape photographer, so we spent all our vacations driving the back roads of various parts of America. Don't worry you'll be home soon and back to the lovely hussle and bussle of city life.
Your wedding pictures lit up my day...you are beautiful.
I am in hot and humid Washington DC. And while I am staying in a nice place I have a 5-year-old shadow driving me nuts in closed, confined spaces. It will be a long week! Hope yours goes faster than mine. Have a great time!!
I love it when writing a blog post proves very lifting--probably for both the writer AND the readers. Your pictures are GORGEOUS and so, as other have noted, are you!
Beautiful wedding pictures, Monet - thank you for sharing them. Life is so much more beautiful spending it with people you love, especially your true, other half.
I hope you are having a good visit and that your challenges become lighter.
Sorry to hear you're going through a bit of a rough patch, Monet. Isn't it wonderful to have someone special to lean on, though? Your pictures are beautiful! I (as well as many others) will be anxiously awaiting your return!
It looks like your wedding was a beautiful and wonderful day! You're both lucky to have each other through challenging times, and that will help you appreciate the good times you have together so much more. I hope your week gets better!
I love the wedding photos Monet! I can't only dream our wedding photos turn out half as good as yours! Hope you enjoy Texas, despite the heat, and have a safe trip home! Can't wait to see what you whip up next!

Great wedding photos, you look so pretty! Have a great trip :)
These pictures are absolutely precious, Monet. Sometimes the last thing I'm thinking of on a long road trip with my husband is how much I love him, but it's times like these when you really bond the most. Have a safe trip and enjoy the quality time you spend with your hubby.
Monet, you are the sweetest couple...The photos are so lovely, and I am so happy that you have your soul partner by your side. Best wished on your trip, and you will be dearly missed during your no Wi-fi days... have a great trip:) HUGS!
What gorgeous wedding photos! I love that you can share them!
Back when I got married (9 years this year) my photographer didn't have digital until right after we were married. I have all the negatives I need to try and turn digital.
Monet, I just returned from the heat and humidity and know that it - as well as what you're going thru emotionally - can make a heart heavy. Fortunately, you have your love beside you! Thanks for sharing your beautiful wedding photos with us.
Welcome to Texas! I always check out your stuff while at work but for whatever reason I can't leave comments..weird. But I hope you are adjusting OK to the horribly hot weather! Let me know when you get all settled and maybe we can exchange desserts sometime :)
Good luck in finding a perfect place in Texas. One of our daughters lives there and loves it. She's in a downtown condo, though, because she & her husband had a house and garden and found gardening was not their thing. But the walkability of downtown Austin is great.
i'm coming in late with my Best of Luck Moving wishes, but I hope your transition went well.
your wedding pictures are beyond lovely and you look absolutely gorgeous! many congratulations on finding such a wonderful partner. it doesn't get any better than being married to your best friend :)
Hi Monet, I can certainly relate to the Texas blues. Having grown up in New Jersey all my life it was definately hard adapting to a new lifestyle. We left family and many friends behind. I was definately homesick. Being married to your best friend makes it easier to cope in those sad times and look forward to new beginnings that life has to offer! We wish you and your husband only the best! Beautiful wedding photos. RnR

Hey there. I want to to ask a bit something.is this a wordpress web log as we are preparing to be transferring over to WP. Moreover did you make this template all by yourself? Numerous thanks.
Its truly a fantastic and valuable piece of information. Im pleased which you just shared this beneficial info with us. Please stay us informed like this. Thank you for sharing.
sac longchamps is much in these letters which relates to the secret history of Matthew’s life. They were written to the only creature amongst his kindred in whom he fully confided. This fact transpires more than once,as will be seen anon by the extracts I shall proceed to make; In what more hopeless and inextricable dilemma was ever an unfortunate man involved.Such was the tenor of his reflections. If we now fall to pieces by disunion, longchamp france can be little doubt that the government will take my life as the prime agitator of the insurrection.Or,grant longchamp 2012could stoop to save myself by a hasty submission,am I not, even in that case, utterly ruined? I have broken irreconcilably with Ratcliffe, and can have nothing to expect from that quarter but insult and persecution.I must wander forth an impoverished and dishonoured man, without even the means of sustaining life, far less wealth sufficient to counterbalance the infamy which my countrymen, both those whom moncler solde ,desert and those whom moncler soldesjoin, will attach to the name of doudoune moncler solde political renegade.
